Mallorca – Beaches and Crowds

August 23, 2026

After waking up, I walked down to the beach and and got breakfast at the hotel restaurant. A lovely pan con tomate with ham and cheese.

Morning the beach in Mallorca

We first stopped at Lidl – the wine game was strong – nearly all 6 packs. And 2 liters of Samgria.

We then took off for Sa Calobra. The drive there was crazy – we ended up behind buses taking the crazy windy road.

Winding road

Sa Calobra is a rock beach that you access through a tunnel. It was beautiful and being in the water was super clear and it was great to be in the Mediterranean. On the downside, it was super crowded, This was a theme of Mallorca for us.

Approaching the beach

After enjoying the beach, we walked back to the car – we found some of the wild goats that roam the island. Kind of like chickens in Key West.

After the beach we went to Cala Molina. This is one of a small set of coves. We first ate at the worst restaurant of our trip – I will not bother to name it.

We went down to the beach and the setting was amazing.

But soooo crowded…

We then headed back to our place and relaxed ahead of dinner. Before dinner, Elliott and I went out to the beach to enjoy a few moments in the water as the sunsets.

A beach with less people

We got dressed for dinner !

After that we went dinner at La Tarrea for dinner – it was a tasting menu with some amazing lamb.

Finally it was time for sleep.

Good night Mallorca
