Today we started out questing for a western style breakfast. While we got west in a way the closest we could get was Eggs N’Things, a Hawaiian breakfast chain. It was good and filled the craving for the most part. We did not get any SPAM.
From there we ventured to the Osaka Sewage Museum. it was full of interactive exhibits and such. They did really reinforce the point that sewer systems are important. Big Sewage must have a lot of clout in Osaka.

We got to see a Lego model of Osaka with the sewage treatment plant.

We also got to go into the sewer and balance in a pipe.

Overall it was an interesting different type of museum and it seemed like they are doing some cool stuff. Some Japanese technology is being used to rehab the sewers in Atlanta.
From there we wandered a bit. We saw another fun god of sorts for good fortune.

We eventually made it to our Okonomiyaki cooking class with Keiko. We got to prepare the batter and then add our own toppings and fry it up. It was great fun. Keiko through her organization C Flat hosted the class and they do many other things.

We need to do an okonomiyaki making party when we get back. With full bellies we wrapped up another day in Osaka.
On the way back to our place, I noticed this painting. Just sharing because I loved it.

Final thought, there is apparently debate between Osaka and Hiroshima about who originated okonomiyaki- when we get to Hiroshima we will have to see what they say.
